Job Description and Qualifications for Structural Engineers:
- Structural design and detailing for projects primarily in Hawaii, and field support and construction administration.
- Investigative and report writing assignments are also expected.
- Computer analysis, design, and drawing production.

Minimum Qualifications:
Engineer with project experience in structural design of building and field experience including structural steel, concrete, wood, and masonry; computer software experience. Proficient verbal & written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to contribute productively to engineering design projects and construction observation. Ability to investigate practical applications of new construction technology. Research interest in wind and seismic engineering and GIS.
Educational Requirements:
Master of Science in Civil (Structural) Engineering or higher.
Other Requirements:
AutoCAD - basic drawing skills desirable
Research, statistical, and GIS background skills would be a helpful asset
Knowledge of Light-Gauge Steel Framing desirable.

Databases, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet; MS Office
Visual Basic and SQL
Occupational License(s):
Certified Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)(Minimum);
Structural Engineer License (desirable but not required)

Work Hours: Flexible between 7:30am-4:30pm to 9:00am-6:00pm: 40 hours per week |
