Multi-Hazard Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Update for the County of Hawaii

The current Hazard Mitigation Plan developed by the County of Hawaii was completed in May 2005 and approved by FEMA in June 2005.  FEMA requires that this plan be updated every 5 years per section 201.6(c)(4)(i) of 44CFR.  The proposed scope of work for this update includes significant plan enhancements to provide the County a better gauge of risk, vulnerability, and appropriate mitigation actions for the County's current level of capability.  The County of Hawaii and the HCDA requires that its current Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan be updated and be ready in draft form by December 1, 2009.  FEMA approval of the updated plan for the County of Hawaii is required by June 29, 2010.
