Marcello J. Sgambelluri, S.E.
Marcello Sgambelluri has been an engineer within the Martin Associates Group for the past nine years. He initially worked as a research engineer for the Research and Development Department at John A. Martin & Associates in Los Angeles. After several large and complex project assignments as a design engineer at John A. Martin & Associates in Los Angeles, Marcello joined Martin & Chock in Honolulu.
Marcello has a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno and has licenses as a Structural Engineer in California, Hawaii, and Guam, and as a Civil Engineer in California and Guam. His professional affiliations include the Structural Engineers Association of California and Hawaii, as well as the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Marcello has been responsible for the analysis, design, detailing, and construction management for many different types of structures, and has worked with such notable architects such as Frank Gehry on several projects in the past. Marcello has been involved in planning and research projects utilizing non-linear static and pushover analysis, as well as progressive collapse analysis and GIS-based software applications including HAZUS.
