Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel Historic Rehabilitation

A total historic rehabilitation of the first hotel built in Waikiki (1901), listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Renovation of the Sheraton Surfrider and Ocean Lanai hotels. Structural work included strengthening for vertical and lateral loads of the six-story 80-year-old wood-framed Moana Hotel and additions and renovation to public areas to the Sheraton Surfrider Hotel. This project received the 1990 Grand Conceptor Engineering Award from the Consulting Engineers Council of Hawaii.
