Significant Changes to the Minimum Design Load Provision of ASCE 7-16

Gary Chock served as the Chair of the ASCE 7 Tsunami Loads and Effects Subcommittee that in a period of 5 years developed and gained adoption of the world’s first comprehensive design code provisions for tsunami-resilient structures. This publication of the International Code Council included a chapter written as an introductory guide to the users of these new design requirements.
